  2. BoringSSL is a fork of OpenSSL. As such, large parts of it fall under OpenSSL
  3. licensing. Files that are completely new have a Google copyright and an ISC

  5. Contributors to BoringSSL are required to follow the CLA rules for Chromium:

  7. Files in third_party/ have their own licenses, as described therein. The MIT
  8. license, for third_party/fiat, which, unlike other third_party directories, is
  9. compiled into non-test libraries, is included below.
  10. The OpenSSL toolkit stays under a dual license, i.e. both the conditions of the
  11. OpenSSL License and the original SSLeay license apply to the toolkit. See below
  12. for the actual license texts. Actually both licenses are BSD-style Open Source
  13. licenses. In case of any license issues related to OpenSSL please contact

  256. TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR USE, REPRODUCTION, AND DISTRIBUTION
  257. 1. Definitions.
  258. "License" shall mean the terms and conditions for use, reproduction,
  259. and distribution as defined by Sections 1 through 9 of this document.
  260. "Licensor" shall mean the copyright owner or entity authorized by
  261. the copyright owner that is granting the License.
  262. "Legal Entity" shall mean the union of the acting entity and all
  263. other entities that control, are controlled by, or are under common
  264. control with that entity. For the purposes of this definition,
  265. "control" means (i) the power, direct or indirect, to cause the
  266. direction or management of such entity, whether by contract or
  267. otherwise, or (ii) ownership of fifty percent (50%) or more of the
  268. outstanding shares, or (iii) beneficial ownership of such entity.
  269. "You" (or "Your") shall mean an individual or Legal Entity
  270. exercising permissions granted by this License.
  271. "Source" form shall mean the preferred form for making modifications,
  272. including but not limited to software source code, documentation
  273. source, and configuration files.
  274. "Object" form shall mean any form resulting from mechanical
  275. transformation or translation of a Source form, including but
  276. not limited to compiled object code, generated documentation,
  277. and conversions to other media types.
  278. "Work" shall mean the work of authorship, whether in Source or
  279. Object form, made available under the License, as indicated by a
  280. copyright notice that is included in or attached to the work
  281. (an example is provided in the Appendix below).
  282. "Derivative Works" shall mean any work, whether in Source or Object
  283. form, that is based on (or derived from) the Work and for which the
  284. editorial revisions, annotations, elaborations, or other modifications
  285. represent, as a whole, an original work of authorship. For the purposes
  286. of this License, Derivative Works shall not include works that remain
  287. separable from, or merely link (or bind by name) to the interfaces of,
  288. the Work and Derivative Works thereof.
  289. "Contribution" shall mean any work of authorship, including
  290. the original version of the Work and any modifications or additions
  291. to that Work or Derivative Works thereof, that is intentionally
  292. submitted to Licensor for inclusion in the Work by the copyright owner
  293. or by an individual or Legal Entity authorized to submit on behalf of
  294. the copyright owner. For the purposes of this definition, "submitted"
  295. means any form of electronic, verbal, or written communication sent
  296. to the Licensor or its representatives, including but not limited to
  297. communication on electronic mailing lists, source code control systems,
  298. and issue tracking systems that are managed by, or on behalf of, the
  299. Licensor for the purpose of discussing and improving the Work, but
  300. excluding communication that is conspicuously marked or otherwise
  301. designated in writing by the copyright owner as "Not a Contribution."
  302. "Contributor" shall mean Licensor and any individual or Legal Entity
  303. on behalf of whom a Contribution has been received by Licensor and
  304. subsequently incorporated within the Work.
  305. 2. Grant of Copyright License. Subject to the terms and conditions of
  306. this License, each Contributor hereby grants to You a perpetual,
  307. worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable
  308. copyright license to reproduce, prepare Derivative Works of,
  309. publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute the
  310. Work and such Derivative Works in Source or Object form.
  311. 3. Grant of Patent License. Subject to the terms and conditions of
  312. this License, each Contributor hereby grants to You a perpetual,
  313. worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable
  314. (except as stated in this section) patent license to make, have made,
  315. use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer the Work,
  316. where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable
  317. by such Contributor that are necessarily infringed by their
  318. Contribution(s) alone or by combination of their Contribution(s)
  319. with the Work to which such Contribution(s) was submitted. If You
  320. institute patent litigation against any entity (including a
  321. cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that the Work
  322. or a Contribution incorporated within the Work constitutes direct
  323. or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses
  324. granted to You under this License for that Work shall terminate
  325. as of the date such litigation is filed.
  326. 4. Redistribution. You may reproduce and distribute copies of the
  327. Work or Derivative Works thereof in any medium, with or without
  328. modifications, and in Source or Object form, provided that You
  329. meet the following conditions:
  330. (a) You must give any other recipients of the Work or
  331. Derivative Works a copy of this License; and
  332. (b) You must cause any modified files to carry prominent notices
  333. stating that You changed the files; and
  334. (c) You must retain, in the Source form of any Derivative Works
  335. that You distribute, all copyright, patent, trademark, and
  336. attribution notices from the Source form of the Work,
  337. excluding those notices that do not pertain to any part of
  338. the Derivative Works; and
  339. (d) If the Work includes a "NOTICE" text file as part of its
  340. distribution, then any Derivative Works that You distribute must
  341. include a readable copy of the attribution notices contained
  342. within such NOTICE file, excluding those notices that do not
  343. pertain to any part of the Derivative Works, in at least one
  344. of the following places: within a NOTICE text file distributed
  345. as part of the Derivative Works; within the Source form or
  346. documentation, if provided along with the Derivative Works; or,
  347. within a display generated by the Derivative Works, if and
  348. wherever such third-party notices normally appear. The contents
  349. of the NOTICE file are for informational purposes only and
  350. do not modify the License. You may add Your own attribution
  351. notices within Derivative Works that You distribute, alongside
  352. or as an addendum to the NOTICE text from the Work, provided
  353. that such additional attribution notices cannot be construed
  354. as modifying the License.
  355. You may add Your own copyright statement to Your modifications and
  356. may provide additional or different license terms and conditions
  357. for use, reproduction, or distribution of Your modifications, or
  358. for any such Derivative Works as a whole, provided Your use,
  359. reproduction, and distribution of the Work otherwise complies with
  360. the conditions stated in this License.
  361. 5. Submission of Contributions. Unless You explicitly state otherwise,
  362. any Contribution intentionally submitted for inclusion in the Work
  363. by You to the Licensor shall be under the terms and conditions of
  364. this License, without any additional terms or conditions.
  365. Notwithstanding the above, nothing herein shall supersede or modify
  366. the terms of any separate license agreement you may have executed
  367. with Licensor regarding such Contributions.
  368. 6. Trademarks. This License does not grant permission to use the trade
  369. names, trademarks, service marks, or product names of the Licensor,
  370. except as required for reasonable and customary use in describing the
  371. origin of the Work and reproducing the content of the NOTICE file.
  372. 7. Disclaimer of Warranty. Unless required by applicable law or
  373. agreed to in writing, Licensor provides the Work (and each
  374. Contributor provides its Contributions) on an "AS IS" BASIS,
  375. WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, either express or
  376. implied, including, without limitation, any warranties or conditions
  377. of TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, or FITNESS FOR A
  378. PARTICULAR PURPOSE. You are solely responsible for determining the
  379. appropriateness of using or redistributing the Work and assume any
  380. risks associated with Your exercise of permissions under this License.
  381. 8. Limitation of Liability. In no event and under no legal theory,
  382. whether in tort (including negligence), contract, or otherwise,
  383. unless required by applicable law (such as deliberate and grossly
  384. negligent acts) or agreed to in writing, shall any Contributor be
  385. liable to You for damages, including any direct, indirect, special,
  386. incidental, or consequential damages of any character arising as a
  387. result of this License or out of the use or inability to use the
  388. Work (including but not limited to damages for loss of goodwill,
  389. work stoppage, computer failure or malfunction, or any and all
  390. other commercial damages or losses), even if such Contributor
  391. has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
  392. 9. Accepting Warranty or Additional Liability. While redistributing
  393. the Work or Derivative Works thereof, You may choose to offer,
  394. and charge a fee for, acceptance of support, warranty, indemnity,
  395. or other liability obligations and/or rights consistent with this
  396. License. However, in accepting such obligations, You may act only
  397. on Your own behalf and on Your sole responsibility, not on behalf
  398. of any other Contributor, and only if You agree to indemnify,
  399. defend, and hold each Contributor harmless for any liability
  400. incurred by, or claims asserted against, such Contributor by reason
  401. of your accepting any such warranty or additional liability.
  402. END OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  444. "You" (or "Your") shall mean an individual or Legal Entity
  445. exercising permissions granted by this License.
  446. "Source" form shall mean the preferred form for making modifications,

  457. "Derivative Works" shall mean any work, whether in Source or Object
  458. form, that is based on (or derived from) the Work and for which the
  459. editorial revisions, annotations, elaborations, or other modifications

  469. the copyright owner. For the purposes of this definition, "submitted"
  470. means any form of electronic, verbal, or written communication sent
  471. to the Licensor or its representatives, including but not limited to

  499. granted to You under this License for that Work shall terminate
  500. as of the date such litigation is filed.
  501. 4. Redistribution. You may reproduce and distribute copies of the
  502. Work or Derivative Works thereof in any medium, with or without
  503. modifications, and in Source or Object form, provided that You
  504. meet the following conditions:
  505. (a) You must give any other recipients of the Work or
  506. Derivative Works a copy of this License; and
  507. (b) You must cause any modified files to carry prominent notices
  508. stating that You changed the files; and
  509. (c) You must retain, in the Source form of any Derivative Works
  510. that You distribute, all copyright, patent, trademark, and
  511. attribution notices from the Source form of the Work,
  512. excluding those notices that do not pertain to any part of
  513. the Derivative Works; and
  514. (d) If the Work includes a "NOTICE" text file as part of its
  515. distribution, then any Derivative Works that You distribute must
  516. include a readable copy of the attribution notices contained
  517. within such NOTICE file, excluding those notices that do not
  518. pertain to any part of the Derivative Works, in at least one
  519. of the following places: within a NOTICE text file distributed
  520. as part of the Derivative Works; within the Source form or
  521. documentation, if provided along with the Derivative Works; or,
  522. within a display generated by the Derivative Works, if and
  523. wherever such third-party notices normally appear. The contents
  524. of the NOTICE file are for informational purposes only and
  525. do not modify the License. You may add Your own attribution
  526. notices within Derivative Works that You distribute, alongside
  527. or as an addendum to the NOTICE text from the Work, provided
  528. that such additional attribution notices cannot be construed
  529. as modifying the License.
  530. You may add Your own copyright statement to Your modifications and
  531. may provide additional or different license terms and conditions
  532. for use, reproduction, or distribution of Your modifications, or
  533. for any such Derivative Works as a whole, provided Your use,
  534. reproduction, and distribution of the Work otherwise complies with
  535. the conditions stated in this License.
  536. 5. Submission of Contributions. Unless You explicitly state otherwise,
  537. any Contribution intentionally submitted for inclusion in the Work
  538. by You to the Licensor shall be under the terms and conditions of
  539. this License, without any additional terms or conditions.
  540. Notwithstanding the above, nothing herein shall supersede or modify
  541. the terms of any separate license agreement you may have executed
  542. with Licensor regarding such Contributions.
  543. 6. Trademarks. This License does not grant permission to use the trade
  544. names, trademarks, service marks, or product names of the Licensor,
  545. except as required for reasonable and customary use in describing the
  546. origin of the Work and reproducing the content of the NOTICE file.
  547. 7. Disclaimer of Warranty. Unless required by applicable law or
  548. agreed to in writing, Licensor provides the Work (and each
  549. Contributor provides its Contributions) on an "AS IS" BASIS,
  550. WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, either express or

  554. appropriateness of using or redistributing the Work and assume any
  555. risks associated with Your exercise of permissions under this License.
  556. 8. Limitation of Liability. In no event and under no legal theory,
  557. whether in tort (including negligence), contract, or otherwise,
  558. unless required by applicable law (such as deliberate and grossly
  559. negligent acts) or agreed to in writing, shall any Contributor be
  560. liable to You for damages, including any direct, indirect, special,
  561. incidental, or consequential damages of any character arising as a
  562. result of this License or out of the use or inability to use the
  563. Work (including but not limited to damages for loss of goodwill,
  564. work stoppage, computer failure or malfunction, or any and all
  565. other commercial damages or losses), even if such Contributor
  566. has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
  567. 9. Accepting Warranty or Additional Liability. While redistributing
  568. the Work or Derivative Works thereof, You may choose to offer,
  569. and charge a fee for, acceptance of support, warranty, indemnity,

  623. TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR USE, REPRODUCTION, AND DISTRIBUTION
  624. 1. Definitions.
  625. "License" shall mean the terms and conditions for use, reproduction,
  626. and distribution as defined by Sections 1 through 9 of this document.
  627. "Licensor" shall mean the copyright owner or entity authorized by
  628. the copyright owner that is granting the License.
  629. "Legal Entity" shall mean the union of the acting entity and all
  630. other entities that control, are controlled by, or are under common
  631. control with that entity. For the purposes of this definition,
  632. "control" means (i) the power, direct or indirect, to cause the
  633. direction or management of such entity, whether by contract or
  634. otherwise, or (ii) ownership of fifty percent (50%) or more of the
  635. outstanding shares, or (iii) beneficial ownership of such entity.
  636. "You" (or "Your") shall mean an individual or Legal Entity
  637. exercising permissions granted by this License.
  638. "Source" form shall mean the preferred form for making modifications,
  639. including but not limited to software source code, documentation
  640. source, and configuration files.
  641. "Object" form shall mean any form resulting from mechanical
  642. transformation or translation of a Source form, including but
  643. not limited to compiled object code, generated documentation,
  644. and conversions to other media types.
  645. "Work" shall mean the work of authorship, whether in Source or
  646. Object form, made available under the License, as indicated by a
  647. copyright notice that is included in or attached to the work
  648. (an example is provided in the Appendix below).
  649. "Derivative Works" shall mean any work, whether in Source or Object
  650. form, that is based on (or derived from) the Work and for which the
  651. editorial revisions, annotations, elaborations, or other modifications
  652. represent, as a whole, an original work of authorship. For the purposes
  653. of this License, Derivative Works shall not include works that remain
  654. separable from, or merely link (or bind by name) to the interfaces of,
  655. the Work and Derivative Works thereof.
  656. "Contribution" shall mean any work of authorship, including
  657. the original version of the Work and any modifications or additions
  658. to that Work or Derivative Works thereof, that is intentionally
  659. submitted to Licensor for inclusion in the Work by the copyright owner
  660. or by an individual or Legal Entity authorized to submit on behalf of
  661. the copyright owner. For the purposes of this definition, "submitted"
  662. means any form of electronic, verbal, or written communication sent
  663. to the Licensor or its representatives, including but not limited to
  664. communication on electronic mailing lists, source code control systems,
  665. and issue tracking systems that are managed by, or on behalf of, the
  666. Licensor for the purpose of discussing and improving the Work, but
  667. excluding communication that is conspicuously marked or otherwise
  668. designated in writing by the copyright owner as "Not a Contribution."
  669. "Contributor" shall mean Licensor and any individual or Legal Entity
  670. on behalf of whom a Contribution has been received by Licensor and
  671. subsequently incorporated within the Work.
  672. 2. Grant of Copyright License. Subject to the terms and conditions of
  673. this License, each Contributor hereby grants to You a perpetual,
  674. worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable
  675. copyright license to reproduce, prepare Derivative Works of,
  676. publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute the
  677. Work and such Derivative Works in Source or Object form.
  678. 3. Grant of Patent License. Subject to the terms and conditions of
  679. this License, each Contributor hereby grants to You a perpetual,
  680. worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable
  681. (except as stated in this section) patent license to make, have made,
  682. use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer the Work,
  683. where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable
  684. by such Contributor that are necessarily infringed by their
  685. Contribution(s) alone or by combination of their Contribution(s)
  686. with the Work to which such Contribution(s) was submitted. If You
  687. institute patent litigation against any entity (including a
  688. cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that the Work
  689. or a Contribution incorporated within the Work constitutes direct
  690. or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses
  691. granted to You under this License for that Work shall terminate
  692. as of the date such litigation is filed.
  693. 4. Redistribution. You may reproduce and distribute copies of the
  694. Work or Derivative Works thereof in any medium, with or without
  695. modifications, and in Source or Object form, provided that You
  696. meet the following conditions:
  697. (a) You must give any other recipients of the Work or
  698. Derivative Works a copy of this License; and
  699. (b) You must cause any modified files to carry prominent notices
  700. stating that You changed the files; and
  701. (c) You must retain, in the Source form of any Derivative Works
  702. that You distribute, all copyright, patent, trademark, and
  703. attribution notices from the Source form of the Work,
  704. excluding those notices that do not pertain to any part of
  705. the Derivative Works; and
  706. (d) If the Work includes a "NOTICE" text file as part of its
  707. distribution, then any Derivative Works that You distribute must
  708. include a readable copy of the attribution notices contained
  709. within such NOTICE file, excluding those notices that do not
  710. pertain to any part of the Derivative Works, in at least one
  711. of the following places: within a NOTICE text file distributed
  712. as part of the Derivative Works; within the Source form or
  713. documentation, if provided along with the Derivative Works; or,
  714. within a display generated by the Derivative Works, if and
  715. wherever such third-party notices normally appear. The contents
  716. of the NOTICE file are for informational purposes only and
  717. do not modify the License. You may add Your own attribution
  718. notices within Derivative Works that You distribute, alongside
  719. or as an addendum to the NOTICE text from the Work, provided
  720. that such additional attribution notices cannot be construed
  721. as modifying the License.
  722. You may add Your own copyright statement to Your modifications and
  723. may provide additional or different license terms and conditions
  724. for use, reproduction, or distribution of Your modifications, or
  725. for any such Derivative Works as a whole, provided Your use,
  726. reproduction, and distribution of the Work otherwise complies with
  727. the conditions stated in this License.
  728. 5. Submission of Contributions. Unless You explicitly state otherwise,
  729. any Contribution intentionally submitted for inclusion in the Work
  730. by You to the Licensor shall be under the terms and conditions of
  731. this License, without any additional terms or conditions.
  732. Notwithstanding the above, nothing herein shall supersede or modify
  733. the terms of any separate license agreement you may have executed
  734. with Licensor regarding such Contributions.
  735. 6. Trademarks. This License does not grant permission to use the trade
  736. names, trademarks, service marks, or product names of the Licensor,
  737. except as required for reasonable and customary use in describing the
  738. origin of the Work and reproducing the content of the NOTICE file.
  739. 7. Disclaimer of Warranty. Unless required by applicable law or

  741. Contributor provides its Contributions) on an "AS IS" BASIS,

  749. whether in tort (including negligence), contract, or otherwise,
  750. unless required by applicable law (such as deliberate and grossly

  752. liable to You for damages, including any direct, indirect, special,
  753. incidental, or consequential damages of any character arising as a
  754. result of this License or out of the use or inability to use the
  755. Work (including but not limited to damages for loss of goodwill,
  756. work stoppage, computer failure or malfunction, or any and all
  757. other commercial damages or losses), even if such Contributor
  758. has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
  759. 9. Accepting Warranty or Additional Liability. While redistributing
  760. the Work or Derivative Works thereof, You may choose to offer,

  907. direction or management of such entity, whether by contract or
  908. otherwise, or (ii) ownership of fifty percent (50%) or more of the
  909. outstanding shares, or (iii) beneficial ownership of such entity.
  910. "You" (or "Your") shall mean an individual or Legal Entity
  911. exercising permissions granted by this License.
  912. "Source" form shall mean the preferred form for making modifications,
  913. including but not limited to software source code, documentation
  914. source, and configuration files.
  915. "Object" form shall mean any form resulting from mechanical
  916. transformation or translation of a Source form, including but
  917. not limited to compiled object code, generated documentation,
  918. and conversions to other media types.
  919. "Work" shall mean the work of authorship, whether in Source or
  920. Object form, made available under the License, as indicated by a
  921. copyright notice that is included in or attached to the work
  922. (an example is provided in the Appendix below).
  923. "Derivative Works" shall mean any work, whether in Source or Object
  924. form, that is based on (or derived from) the Work and for which the
  925. editorial revisions, annotations, elaborations, or other modifications
  926. represent, as a whole, an original work of authorship. For the purposes
  927. of this License, Derivative Works shall not include works that remain
  928. separable from, or merely link (or bind by name) to the interfaces of,
  929. the Work and Derivative Works thereof.
  930. "Contribution" shall mean any work of authorship, including
  931. the original version of the Work and any modifications or additions
  932. to that Work or Derivative Works thereof, that is intentionally
  933. submitted to Licensor for inclusion in the Work by the copyright owner
  934. or by an individual or Legal Entity authorized to submit on behalf of
  935. the copyright owner. For the purposes of this definition, "submitted"
  936. means any form of electronic, verbal, or written communication sent
  937. to the Licensor or its representatives, including but not limited to
  938. communication on electronic mailing lists, source code control systems,
  939. and issue tracking systems that are managed by, or on behalf of, the
  940. Licensor for the purpose of discussing and improving the Work, but
  941. excluding communication that is conspicuously marked or otherwise
  942. designated in writing by the copyright owner as "Not a Contribution."
  943. "Contributor" shall mean Licensor and any individual or Legal Entity
  944. on behalf of whom a Contribution has been received by Licensor and
  945. subsequently incorporated within the Work.
  946. 2. Grant of Copyright License. Subject to the terms and conditions of
  947. this License, each Contributor hereby grants to You a perpetual,
  948. worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable
  949. copyright license to reproduce, prepare Derivative Works of,
  950. publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute the
  951. Work and such Derivative Works in Source or Object form.
  952. 3. Grant of Patent License. Subject to the terms and conditions of
  953. this License, each Contributor hereby grants to You a perpetual,
  954. worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable
  955. (except as stated in this section) patent license to make, have made,
  956. use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer the Work,
  957. where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable
  958. by such Contributor that are necessarily infringed by their
  959. Contribution(s) alone or by combination of their Contribution(s)
  960. with the Work to which such Contribution(s) was submitted. If You
  961. institute patent litigation against any entity (including a
  962. cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that the Work
  963. or a Contribution incorporated within the Work constitutes direct
  964. or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses
  965. granted to You under this License for that Work shall terminate
  966. as of the date such litigation is filed.
  967. 4. Redistribution. You may reproduce and distribute copies of the
  968. Work or Derivative Works thereof in any medium, with or without
  969. modifications, and in Source or Object form, provided that You
  970. meet the following conditions:
  971. (a) You must give any other recipients of the Work or
  972. Derivative Works a copy of this License; and
  973. (b) You must cause any modified files to carry prominent notices
  974. stating that You changed the files; and
  975. (c) You must retain, in the Source form of any Derivative Works
  976. that You distribute, all copyright, patent, trademark, and
  977. attribution notices from the Source form of the Work,
  978. excluding those notices that do not pertain to any part of
  979. the Derivative Works; and
  980. (d) If the Work includes a "NOTICE" text file as part of its
  981. distribution, then any Derivative Works that You distribute must
  982. include a readable copy of the attribution notices contained
  983. within such NOTICE file, excluding those notices that do not
  984. pertain to any part of the Derivative Works, in at least one
  985. of the following places: within a NOTICE text file distributed
  986. as part of the Derivative Works; within the Source form or
  987. documentation, if provided along with the Derivative Works; or,
  988. within a display generated by the Derivative Works, if and
  989. wherever such third-party notices normally appear. The contents
  990. of the NOTICE file are for informational purposes only and
  991. do not modify the License. You may add Your own attribution
  992. notices within Derivative Works that You distribute, alongside
  993. or as an addendum to the NOTICE text from the Work, provided
  994. that such additional attribution notices cannot be construed
  995. as modifying the License.
  996. You may add Your own copyright statement to Your modifications and
  997. may provide additional or different license terms and conditions
  998. for use, reproduction, or distribution of Your modifications, or
  999. for any such Derivative Works as a whole, provided Your use,
1000. reproduction, and distribution of the Work otherwise complies with
1001. the conditions stated in this License.
1002. 5. Submission of Contributions. Unless You explicitly state otherwise,
1003. any Contribution intentionally submitted for inclusion in the Work
1004. by You to the Licensor shall be under the terms and conditions of
1005. this License, without any additional terms or conditions.
1006. Notwithstanding the above, nothing herein shall supersede or modify
1007. the terms of any separate license agreement you may have executed
1008. with Licensor regarding such Contributions.
1009. 6. Trademarks. This License does not grant permission to use the trade
1010. names, trademarks, service marks, or product names of the Licensor,
1011. except as required for reasonable and customary use in describing the
1012. origin of the Work and reproducing the content of the NOTICE file.
1013. 7. Disclaimer of Warranty. Unless required by applicable law or
1014. agreed to in writing, Licensor provides the Work (and each
1015. Contributor provides its Contributions) on an "AS IS" BASIS,
1016. WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, either express or
1017. implied, including, without limitation, any warranties or conditions
1018. of TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, or FITNESS FOR A
1019. PARTICULAR PURPOSE. You are solely responsible for determining the
1020. appropriateness of using or redistributing the Work and assume any
1021. risks associated with Your exercise of permissions under this License.
1022. 8. Limitation of Liability. In no event and under no legal theory,
1023. whether in tort (including negligence), contract, or otherwise,
1024. unless required by applicable law (such as deliberate and grossly
1025. negligent acts) or agreed to in writing, shall any Contributor be
1026. liable to You for damages, including any direct, indirect, special,
1027. incidental, or consequential damages of any character arising as a
1028. result of this License or out of the use or inability to use the
1029. Work (including but not limited to damages for loss of goodwill,
1030. work stoppage, computer failure or malfunction, or any and all
1031. other commercial damages or losses), even if such Contributor
1032. has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
1033. 9. Accepting Warranty or Additional Liability. While redistributing
1034. the Work or Derivative Works thereof, You may choose to offer,
1035. and charge a fee for, acceptance of support, warranty, indemnity,
1036. or other liability obligations and/or rights consistent with this
1037. License. However, in accepting such obligations, You may act only
1038. on Your own behalf and on Your sole responsibility, not on behalf
1039. of any other Contributor, and only if You agree to indemnify,
1040. defend, and hold each Contributor harmless for any liability
1041. incurred by, or claims asserted against, such Contributor by reason
1042. of your accepting any such warranty or additional liability.

1306. and issue tracking systems that are managed by, or on behalf of, the
1307. Licensor for the purpose of discussing and improving the Work, but
1308. excluding communication that is conspicuously marked or otherwise
1309. designated in writing by the copyright owner as "Not a Contribution."
1310. "Contributor" shall mean Licensor and any individual or Legal Entity
1311. on behalf of whom a Contribution has been received by Licensor and
1312. subsequently incorporated within the Work.
1313. 2. Grant of Copyright License. Subject to the terms and conditions of
1314. this License, each Contributor hereby grants to You a perpetual,
  1315. worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable
1316. copyright license to reproduce, prepare Derivative Works of,
1317. publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute the
1318. Work and such Derivative Works in Source or Object form.
1319. 3. Grant of Patent License. Subject to the terms and conditions of
1320. this License, each Contributor hereby grants to You a perpetual,
  1321. worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable
1322. (except as stated in this section) patent license to make, have made,
1323. use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer the Work,
1324. where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable
1325. by such Contributor that are necessarily infringed by their
1326. Contribution(s) alone or by combination of their Contribution(s)
1327. with the Work to which such Contribution(s) was submitted. If You
1328. institute patent litigation against any entity (including a
1329. cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that the Work
1330. or a Contribution incorporated within the Work constitutes direct
1331. or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses
1332. granted to You under this License for that Work shall terminate
1333. as of the date such litigation is filed.
1334. 4. Redistribution. You may reproduce and distribute copies of the
1335. Work or Derivative Works thereof in any medium, with or without
1336. modifications, and in Source or Object form, provided that You
  1337. meet the following conditions:
1338. (a) You must give any other recipients of the Work or
1339. Derivative Works a copy of this License; and
1340. (b) You must cause any modified files to carry prominent notices
1341. stating that You changed the files; and
1342. (c) You must retain, in the Source form of any Derivative Works
1343. that You distribute, all copyright, patent, trademark, and
1344. attribution notices from the Source form of the Work,
1345. excluding those notices that do not pertain to any part of
  1346. the Derivative Works; and
1347. (d) If the Work includes a "NOTICE" text file as part of its
1348. distribution, then any Derivative Works that You distribute must
1349. include a readable copy of the attribution notices contained
1350. within such NOTICE file, excluding those notices that do not
1351. pertain to any part of the Derivative Works, in at least one
1352. of the following places: within a NOTICE text file distributed
1353. as part of the Derivative Works; within the Source form or
1354. documentation, if provided along with the Derivative Works; or,
1355. within a display generated by the Derivative Works, if and
1356. wherever such third-party notices normally appear. The contents
1357. of the NOTICE file are for informational purposes only and
1358. do not modify the License. You may add Your own attribution
1359. notices within Derivative Works that You distribute, alongside
1360. or as an addendum to the NOTICE text from the Work, provided
1361. that such additional attribution notices cannot be construed
  1362. as modifying the License.
1363. You may add Your own copyright statement to Your modifications and
1364. may provide additional or different license terms and conditions
1365. for use, reproduction, or distribution of Your modifications, or
1366. for any such Derivative Works as a whole, provided Your use,
1367. reproduction, and distribution of the Work otherwise complies with
1368. the conditions stated in this License.
1369. 5. Submission of Contributions. Unless You explicitly state otherwise,
1370. any Contribution intentionally submitted for inclusion in the Work
1371. by You to the Licensor shall be under the terms and conditions of
1372. this License, without any additional terms or conditions.
1373. Notwithstanding the above, nothing herein shall supersede or modify
1374. the terms of any separate license agreement you may have executed
1375. with Licensor regarding such Contributions.
1376. 6. Trademarks. This License does not grant permission to use the trade
1377. names, trademarks, service marks, or product names of the Licensor,
1378. except as required for reasonable and customary use in describing the
1379. origin of the Work and reproducing the content of the NOTICE file.
1380. 7. Disclaimer of Warranty. Unless required by applicable law or
1381. agreed to in writing, Licensor provides the Work (and each
1382. Contributor provides its Contributions) on an "AS IS" BASIS,
1383. WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, either express or
1384. implied, including, without limitation, any warranties or conditions
1385. of TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, or FITNESS FOR A
1386. PARTICULAR PURPOSE. You are solely responsible for determining the
1387. appropriateness of using or redistributing the Work and assume any
1388. risks associated with Your exercise of permissions under this License.
1389. 8. Limitation of Liability. In no event and under no legal theory,
1390. whether in tort (including negligence), contract, or otherwise,
1391. unless required by applicable law (such as deliberate and grossly
1392. negligent acts) or agreed to in writing, shall any Contributor be
1393. liable to You for damages, including any direct, indirect, special,
1394. incidental, or consequential damages of any character arising as a
1395. result of this License or out of the use or inability to use the
1396. Work (including but not limited to damages for loss of goodwill,
1397. work stoppage, computer failure or malfunction, or any and all
1398. other commercial damages or losses), even if such Contributor
1399. has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
1400. 9. Accepting Warranty or Additional Liability. While redistributing
1401. the Work or Derivative Works thereof, You may choose to offer,
1402. and charge a fee for, acceptance of support, warranty, indemnity,
1403. or other liability obligations and/or rights consistent with this
1404. License. However, in accepting such obligations, You may act only
1405. on Your own behalf and on Your sole responsibility, not on behalf
1406. of any other Contributor, and only if You agree to indemnify,
1407. defend, and hold each Contributor harmless for any liability
1408. incurred by, or claims asserted against, such Contributor by reason
1409. of your accepting any such warranty or additional liability.

1463. (an example is provided in the Appendix below).
1464. "Derivative Works" shall mean any work, whether in Source or Object
1465. form, that is based on (or derived from) the Work and for which the
1466. editorial revisions, annotations, elaborations, or other modifications
1467. represent, as a whole, an original work of authorship. For the purposes
1468. of this License, Derivative Works shall not include works that remain

1470. the Work and Derivative Works thereof.
1471. "Contribution" shall mean any work of authorship, including

1523. include a readable copy of the attribution notices contained
1524. within such NOTICE file, excluding those notices that do not

1526. of the following places: within a NOTICE text file distributed
1527. as part of the Derivative Works; within the Source form or
1528. documentation, if provided along with the Derivative Works; or,
1529. within a display generated by the Derivative Works, if and
1530. wherever such third-party notices normally appear. The contents
1531. of the NOTICE file are for informational purposes only and
1532. do not modify the License. You may add Your own attribution
1533. notices within Derivative Works that You distribute, alongside
1534. or as an addendum to the NOTICE text from the Work, provided
1535. that such additional attribution notices cannot be construed
  1536. as modifying the License.
1537. You may add Your own copyright statement to Your modifications and
1538. may provide additional or different license terms and conditions
1539. for use, reproduction, or distribution of Your modifications, or
1540. for any such Derivative Works as a whole, provided Your use,
1541. reproduction, and distribution of the Work otherwise complies with
1542. the conditions stated in this License.
1543. 5. Submission of Contributions. Unless You explicitly state otherwise,
1544. any Contribution intentionally submitted for inclusion in the Work
1545. by You to the Licensor shall be under the terms and conditions of
1546. this License, without any additional terms or conditions.
1547. Notwithstanding the above, nothing herein shall supersede or modify
1548. the terms of any separate license agreement you may have executed
1549. with Licensor regarding such Contributions.
1550. 6. Trademarks. This License does not grant permission to use the trade

1554. 7. Disclaimer of Warranty. Unless required by applicable law or

1570. Work (including but not limited to damages for loss of goodwill,
1571. work stoppage, computer failure or malfunction, or any and all
1572. other commercial damages or losses), even if such Contributor
1573. has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

  1609. 1. Definitions.
1610. "License" shall mean the terms and conditions for use, reproduction,
1611. and distribution as defined by Sections 1 through 9 of this document.
1612. "Licensor" shall mean the copyright owner or entity authorized by
1613. the copyright owner that is granting the License.
1614. "Legal Entity" shall mean the union of the acting entity and all
1615. other entities that control, are controlled by, or are under common

1621. "You" (or "Your") shall mean an individual or Legal Entity
1622. exercising permissions granted by this License.
1623. "Source" form shall mean the preferred form for making modifications,

  1625. source, and configuration files.
1626. "Object" form shall mean any form resulting from mechanical
1627. transformation or translation of a Source form, including but
1628. not limited to compiled object code, generated documentation,
1629. and conversions to other media types.
1630. "Work" shall mean the work of authorship, whether in Source or
1631. Object form, made available under the License, as indicated by a
1632. copyright notice that is included in or attached to the work
1633. (an example is provided in the Appendix below).
1634. "Derivative Works" shall mean any work, whether in Source or Object
1635. form, that is based on (or derived from) the Work and for which the
1636. editorial revisions, annotations, elaborations, or other modifications
1637. represent, as a whole, an original work of authorship. For the purposes
1638. of this License, Derivative Works shall not include works that remain
1639. separable from, or merely link (or bind by name) to the interfaces of,
1640. the Work and Derivative Works thereof.
1641. "Contribution" shall mean any work of authorship, including
1642. the original version of the Work and any modifications or additions
1643. to that Work or Derivative Works thereof, that is intentionally
1644. submitted to Licensor for inclusion in the Work by the copyright owner
1645. or by an individual or Legal Entity authorized to submit on behalf of
1646. the copyright owner. For the purposes of this definition, "submitted"
1647. means any form of electronic, verbal, or written communication sent
1648. to the Licensor or its representatives, including but not limited to
1649. communication on electronic mailing lists, source code control systems,

1680. modifications, and in Source or Object form, provided that You
  1681. meet the following conditions:

1687. that You distribute, all copyright, patent, trademark, and
1688. attribution notices from the Source form of the Work,
1689. excluding those notices that do not pertain to any part of
  1690. the Derivative Works; and
1691. (d) If the Work includes a "NOTICE" text file as part of its
1692. distribution, then any Derivative Works that You distribute must
1693. include a readable copy of the attribution notices contained
1694. within such NOTICE file, excluding those notices that do not
1695. pertain to any part of the Derivative Works, in at least one
1696. of the following places: within a NOTICE text file distributed

1707. You may add Your own copyright statement to Your modifications and
1708. may provide additional or different license terms and conditions
1709. for use, reproduction, or distribution of Your modifications, or
1710. for any such Derivative Works as a whole, provided Your use,

1716. this License, without any additional terms or conditions.
1717. Notwithstanding the above, nothing herein shall supersede or modify
1718. the terms of any separate license agreement you may have executed

1734. whether in tort (including negligence), contract, or otherwise,
1735. unless required by applicable law (such as deliberate and grossly

  1793. Comment from
  1794. <a href="http://iphonedevwiki.net/index.php/Crack_prevention">iPhone Dev Wiki
1795. Crack Prevention</a>: App Store binaries are signed by both their developer
1796. and Apple. This encrypts the binary so that decryption keys are needed in order
1797. to make the binary readable. When iOS executes the binary, the decryption keys
1798. are used to decrypt the binary into a readable state where it is then loaded
1799. into memory and executed. iOS can tell the encryption status of a binary via the
1800. cryptid structure member of LC_ENCRYPTION_INFO MachO load command. If cryptid is
1801. a non-zero value then the binary is encrypted.
1802. 'Cracking' works by letting the kernel decrypt the binary then siphoning the
1803. decrypted data into a new binary file, resigning, and repackaging. This will
1804. only work on jailbroken devices as codesignature validation has been removed.
1805. Resigning takes place because while the codesignature doesn't have to be valid
1806. thanks to the jailbreak, it does have to be in place unless you have AppSync or
1807. similar to disable codesignature checks.

  1815. 1. Definitions.
1816. "License" shall mean the terms and conditions for use, reproduction,
1817. and distribution as defined by Sections 1 through 9 of this document.
1818. "Licensor" shall mean the copyright owner or entity authorized by
1819. the copyright owner that is granting the License.
1820. "Legal Entity" shall mean the union of the acting entity and all
1821. other entities that control, are controlled by, or are under common
1822. control with that entity. For the purposes of this definition,
1823. "control" means (i) the power, direct or indirect, to cause the
1824. direction or management of such entity, whether by contract or
1825. otherwise, or (ii) ownership of fifty percent (50%) or more of the
1826. outstanding shares, or (iii) beneficial ownership of such entity.
1827. "You" (or "Your") shall mean an individual or Legal Entity
1828. exercising permissions granted by this License.
1829. "Source" form shall mean the preferred form for making modifications,
1830. including but not limited to software source code, documentation
  1831. source, and configuration files.
1832. "Object" form shall mean any form resulting from mechanical
1833. transformation or translation of a Source form, including but
1834. not limited to compiled object code, generated documentation,
1835. and conversions to other media types.
1836. "Work" shall mean the work of authorship, whether in Source or
1837. Object form, made available under the License, as indicated by a
1838. copyright notice that is included in or attached to the work
1839. (an example is provided in the Appendix below).
1840. "Derivative Works" shall mean any work, whether in Source or Object
1841. form, that is based on (or derived from) the Work and for which the
1842. editorial revisions, annotations, elaborations, or other modifications
1843. represent, as a whole, an original work of authorship. For the purposes
1844. of this License, Derivative Works shall not include works that remain
1845. separable from, or merely link (or bind by name) to the interfaces of,
1846. the Work and Derivative Works thereof.
1847. "Contribution" shall mean any work of authorship, including
1848. the original version of the Work and any modifications or additions
1849. to that Work or Derivative Works thereof, that is intentionally
1850. submitted to Licensor for inclusion in the Work by the copyright owner
1851. or by an individual or Legal Entity authorized to submit on behalf of
1852. the copyright owner. For the purposes of this definition, "submitted"
1853. means any form of electronic, verbal, or written communication sent
1854. to the Licensor or its representatives, including but not limited to
1855. communication on electronic mailing lists, source code control systems,
1856. and issue tracking systems that are managed by, or on behalf of, the
1857. Licensor for the purpose of discussing and improving the Work, but
1858. excluding communication that is conspicuously marked or otherwise
1859. designated in writing by the copyright owner as "Not a Contribution."
1860. "Contributor" shall mean Licensor and any individual or Legal Entity
1861. on behalf of whom a Contribution has been received by Licensor and
1862. subsequently incorporated within the Work.
1863. 2. Grant of Copyright License. Subject to the terms and conditions of
1864. this License, each Contributor hereby grants to You a perpetual,
  1865. worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable
1866. copyright license to reproduce, prepare Derivative Works of,
1867. publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute the
1868. Work and such Derivative Works in Source or Object form.
1869. 3. Grant of Patent License. Subject to the terms and conditions of
1870. this License, each Contributor hereby grants to You a perpetual,
  1871. worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable
1872. (except as stated in this section) patent license to make, have made,
1873. use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer the Work,
1874. where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable
1875. by such Contributor that are necessarily infringed by their
1876. Contribution(s) alone or by combination of their Contribution(s)
1877. with the Work to which such Contribution(s) was submitted. If You
1878. institute patent litigation against any entity (including a
1879. cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that the Work
1880. or a Contribution incorporated within the Work constitutes direct
1881. or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses
1882. granted to You under this License for that Work shall terminate
1883. as of the date such litigation is filed.
1884. 4. Redistribution. You may reproduce and distribute copies of the
1885. Work or Derivative Works thereof in any medium, with or without
1886. modifications, and in Source or Object form, provided that You
  1887. meet the following conditions:
1888. (a) You must give any other recipients of the Work or
1889. Derivative Works a copy of this License; and
1890. (b) You must cause any modified files to carry prominent notices
1891. stating that You changed the files; and
1892. (c) You must retain, in the Source form of any Derivative Works
1893. that You distribute, all copyright, patent, trademark, and
1894. attribution notices from the Source form of the Work,
1895. excluding those notices that do not pertain to any part of
  1896. the Derivative Works; and
1897. (d) If the Work includes a "NOTICE" text file as part of its
1898. distribution, then any Derivative Works that You distribute must
1899. include a readable copy of the attribution notices contained
1900. within such NOTICE file, excluding those notices that do not
1901. pertain to any part of the Derivative Works, in at least one
1902. of the following places: within a NOTICE text file distributed
1903. as part of the Derivative Works; within the Source form or
1904. documentation, if provided along with the Derivative Works; or,
1905. within a display generated by the Derivative Works, if and
1906. wherever such third-party notices normally appear. The contents
1907. of the NOTICE file are for informational purposes only and
1908. do not modify the License. You may add Your own attribution
1909. notices within Derivative Works that You distribute, alongside
1910. or as an addendum to the NOTICE text from the Work, provided
1911. that such additional attribution notices cannot be construed
  1912. as modifying the License.
1913. You may add Your own copyright statement to Your modifications and
1914. may provide additional or different license terms and conditions
1915. for use, reproduction, or distribution of Your modifications, or
1916. for any such Derivative Works as a whole, provided Your use,
1917. reproduction, and distribution of the Work otherwise complies with
1918. the conditions stated in this License.
1919. 5. Submission of Contributions. Unless You explicitly state otherwise,
1920. any Contribution intentionally submitted for inclusion in the Work
1921. by You to the Licensor shall be under the terms and conditions of
1922. this License, without any additional terms or conditions.
1923. Notwithstanding the above, nothing herein shall supersede or modify
1924. the terms of any separate license agreement you may have executed
1925. with Licensor regarding such Contributions.
1926. 6. Trademarks. This License does not grant permission to use the trade

1928. except as required for reasonable and customary use in describing the
1929. origin of the Work and reproducing the content of the NOTICE file.
1930. 7. Disclaimer of Warranty. Unless required by applicable law or

1940. whether in tort (including negligence), contract, or otherwise,
1941. unless required by applicable law (such as deliberate and grossly
1942. negligent acts) or agreed to in writing, shall any Contributor be
1943. liable to You for damages, including any direct, indirect, special,
1944. incidental, or consequential damages of any character arising as a
1945. result of this License or out of the use or inability to use the
1946. Work (including but not limited to damages for loss of goodwill,
1947. work stoppage, computer failure or malfunction, or any and all
1948. other commercial damages or losses), even if such Contributor
1949. has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
1950. 9. Accepting Warranty or Additional Liability. While redistributing
1951. the Work or Derivative Works thereof, You may choose to offer,

2089. may provide additional or different license terms and conditions
2090. for use, reproduction, or distribution of Your modifications, or
2091. for any such Derivative Works as a whole, provided Your use,
2092. reproduction, and distribution of the Work otherwise complies with
2093. the conditions stated in this License.
2094. 5. Submission of Contributions. Unless You explicitly state otherwise,
2095. any Contribution intentionally submitted for inclusion in the Work
2096. by You to the Licensor shall be under the terms and conditions of
2097. this License, without any additional terms or conditions.
2098. Notwithstanding the above, nothing herein shall supersede or modify
2099. the terms of any separate license agreement you may have executed
2100. with Licensor regarding such Contributions.
2101. 6. Trademarks. This License does not grant permission to use the trade
2102. names, trademarks, service marks, or product names of the Licensor,
2103. except as required for reasonable and customary use in describing the
2104. origin of the Work and reproducing the content of the NOTICE file.
2105. 7. Disclaimer of Warranty. Unless required by applicable law or
2106. agreed to in writing, Licensor provides the Work (and each
2107. Contributor provides its Contributions) on an "AS IS" BASIS,
2108. WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, either express or
2109. implied, including, without limitation, any warranties or conditions
2110. of TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, or FITNESS FOR A

2112. appropriateness of using or redistributing the Work and assume any
2113. risks associated with Your exercise of permissions under this License.
2114. 8. Limitation of Liability. In no event and under no legal theory,
2115. whether in tort (including negligence), contract, or otherwise,
2116. unless required by applicable law (such as deliberate and grossly
2117. negligent acts) or agreed to in writing, shall any Contributor be
2118. liable to You for damages, including any direct, indirect, special,
2119. incidental, or consequential damages of any character arising as a
2120. result of this License or out of the use or inability to use the
2121. Work (including but not limited to damages for loss of goodwill,
2122. work stoppage, computer failure or malfunction, or any and all
2123. other commercial damages or losses), even if such Contributor
2124. has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
2125. 9. Accepting Warranty or Additional Liability. While redistributing
2126. the Work or Derivative Works thereof, You may choose to offer,
2127. and charge a fee for, acceptance of support, warranty, indemnity,
2128. or other liability obligations and/or rights consistent with this
2129. License. However, in accepting such obligations, You may act only
2130. on Your own behalf and on Your sole responsibility, not on behalf
2131. of any other Contributor, and only if You agree to indemnify,
2132. defend, and hold each Contributor harmless for any liability
2133. incurred by, or claims asserted against, such Contributor by reason
2134. of your accepting any such warranty or additional liability.

2160. TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR USE, REPRODUCTION, AND DISTRIBUTION
  2161. 1. Definitions.
2162. "License" shall mean the terms and conditions for use, reproduction,
2163. and distribution as defined by Sections 1 through 9 of this document.
2164. "Licensor" shall mean the copyright owner or entity authorized by
2165. the copyright owner that is granting the License.
2166. "Legal Entity" shall mean the union of the acting entity and all
2167. other entities that control, are controlled by, or are under common
2168. control with that entity. For the purposes of this definition,
2169. "control" means (i) the power, direct or indirect, to cause the
2170. direction or management of such entity, whether by contract or
2171. otherwise, or (ii) ownership of fifty percent (50%) or more of the
2172. outstanding shares, or (iii) beneficial ownership of such entity.
2173. "You" (or "Your") shall mean an individual or Legal Entity
2174. exercising permissions granted by this License.
2175. "Source" form shall mean the preferred form for making modifications,
2176. including but not limited to software source code, documentation
  2177. source, and configuration files.
2178. "Object" form shall mean any form resulting from mechanical
2179. transformation or translation of a Source form, including but
2180. not limited to compiled object code, generated documentation,
2181. and conversions to other media types.
2182. "Work" shall mean the work of authorship, whether in Source or
2183. Object form, made available under the License, as indicated by a
2184. copyright notice that is included in or attached to the work
2185. (an example is provided in the Appendix below).
2186. "Derivative Works" shall mean any work, whether in Source or Object
2187. form, that is based on (or derived from) the Work and for which the
2188. editorial revisions, annotations, elaborations, or other modifications
2189. represent, as a whole, an original work of authorship. For the purposes
2190. of this License, Derivative Works shall not include works that remain
2191. separable from, or merely link (or bind by name) to the interfaces of,
2192. the Work and Derivative Works thereof.
2193. "Contribution" shall mean any work of authorship, including
2194. the original version of the Work and any modifications or additions
2195. to that Work or Derivative Works thereof, that is intentionally
2196. submitted to Licensor for inclusion in the Work by the copyright owner
2197. or by an individual or Legal Entity authorized to submit on behalf of
2198. the copyright owner. For the purposes of this definition, "submitted"
2199. means any form of electronic, verbal, or written communication sent
2200. to the Licensor or its representatives, including but not limited to
2201. communication on electronic mailing lists, source code control systems,
2202. and issue tracking systems that are managed by, or on behalf of, the
2203. Licensor for the purpose of discussing and improving the Work, but
2204. excluding communication that is conspicuously marked or otherwise
2205. designated in writing by the copyright owner as "Not a Contribution."
2206. "Contributor" shall mean Licensor and any individual or Legal Entity
2207. on behalf of whom a Contribution has been received by Licensor and
2208. subsequently incorporated within the Work.
2209. 2. Grant of Copyright License. Subject to the terms and conditions of
2210. this License, each Contributor hereby grants to You a perpetual,
  2211. worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable
2212. copyright license to reproduce, prepare Derivative Works of,
2213. publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute the
2214. Work and such Derivative Works in Source or Object form.
2215. 3. Grant of Patent License. Subject to the terms and conditions of
2216. this License, each Contributor hereby grants to You a perpetual,
  2217. worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable
2218. (except as stated in this section) patent license to make, have made,
2219. use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer the Work,
2220. where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable
2221. by such Contributor that are necessarily infringed by their
2222. Contribution(s) alone or by combination of their Contribution(s)
2223. with the Work to which such Contribution(s) was submitted. If You
2224. institute patent litigation against any entity (including a
2225. cross-claim or counterclaim in a lawsuit) alleging that the Work
2226. or a Contribution incorporated within the Work constitutes direct
2227. or contributory patent infringement, then any patent licenses
2228. granted to You under this License for that Work shall terminate
2229. as of the date such litigation is filed.
2230. 4. Redistribution. You may reproduce and distribute copies of the
2231. Work or Derivative Works thereof in any medium, with or without
2232. modifications, and in Source or Object form, provided that You
  2233. meet the following conditions:
2234. (a) You must give any other recipients of the Work or
2235. Derivative Works a copy of this License; and
2236. (b) You must cause any modified files to carry prominent notices
2237. stating that You changed the files; and
2238. (c) You must retain, in the Source form of any Derivative Works
2239. that You distribute, all copyright, patent, trademark, and
2240. attribution notices from the Source form of the Work,
2241. excluding those notices that do not pertain to any part of
  2242. the Derivative Works; and
2243. (d) If the Work includes a "NOTICE" text file as part of its
2244. distribution, then any Derivative Works that You distribute must
2245. include a readable copy of the attribution notices contained
2246. within such NOTICE file, excluding those notices that do not
2247. pertain to any part of the Derivative Works, in at least one
2248. of the following places: within a NOTICE text file distributed
2249. as part of the Derivative Works; within the Source form or
2250. documentation, if provided along with the Derivative Works; or,
2251. within a display generated by the Derivative Works, if and
2252. wherever such third-party notices normally appear. The contents
2253. of the NOTICE file are for informational purposes only and
2254. do not modify the License. You may add Your own attribution
2255. notices within Derivative Works that You distribute, alongside
2256. or as an addendum to the NOTICE text from the Work, provided
2257. that such additional attribution notices cannot be construed
  2258. as modifying the License.
2259. You may add Your own copyright statement to Your modifications and
2260. may provide additional or different license terms and conditions
2261. for use, reproduction, or distribution of Your modifications, or
2262. for any such Derivative Works as a whole, provided Your use,
2263. reproduction, and distribution of the Work otherwise complies with
2264. the conditions stated in this License.
2265. 5. Submission of Contributions. Unless You explicitly state otherwise,
2266. any Contribution intentionally submitted for inclusion in the Work
2267. by You to the Licensor shall be under the terms and conditions of
2268. this License, without any additional terms or conditions.
2269. Notwithstanding the above, nothing herein shall supersede or modify
2270. the terms of any separate license agreement you may have executed
2271. with Licensor regarding such Contributions.
2272. 6. Trademarks. This License does not grant permission to use the trade
2273. names, trademarks, service marks, or product names of the Licensor,
2274. except as required for reasonable and customary use in describing the
2275. origin of the Work and reproducing the content of the NOTICE file.
2276. 7. Disclaimer of Warranty. Unless required by applicable law or
2277. agreed to in writing, Licensor provides the Work (and each
2278. Contributor provides its Contributions) on an "AS IS" BASIS,
2279. WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, either express or
2280. implied, including, without limitation, any warranties or conditions
2281. of TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, or FITNESS FOR A
2282. PARTICULAR PURPOSE. You are solely responsible for determining the
2283. appropriateness of using or redistributing the Work and assume any
2284. risks associated with Your exercise of permissions under this License.
2285. 8. Limitation of Liability. In no event and under no legal theory,
2286. whether in tort (including negligence), contract, or otherwise,
2287. unless required by applicable law (such as deliberate and grossly
2288. negligent acts) or agreed to in writing, shall any Contributor be
2289. liable to You for damages, including any direct, indirect, special,
2290. incidental, or consequential damages of any character arising as a
2291. result of this License or out of the use or inability to use the
2292. Work (including but not limited to damages for loss of goodwill,
2293. work stoppage, computer failure or malfunction, or any and all
2294. other commercial damages or losses), even if such Contributor
2295. has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
2296. 9. Accepting Warranty or Additional Liability. While redistributing
2297. the Work or Derivative Works thereof, You may choose to offer,
2298. and charge a fee for, acceptance of support, warranty, indemnity,
2299. or other liability obligations and/or rights consistent with this
2300. License. However, in accepting such obligations, You may act only
2301. on Your own behalf and on Your sole responsibility, not on behalf
2302. of any other Contributor, and only if You agree to indemnify,
2303. defend, and hold each Contributor harmless for any liability
2304. incurred by, or claims asserted against, such Contributor by reason
2305. of your accepting any such warranty or additional liability.

  2429. 2.2. Effective Date

2472. Code Form of the Covered Software is governed by the terms of this
2473. License, and how they can obtain a copy of this License. You may not
2474. attempt to alter or restrict the recipients' rights in the Source Code
  2475. Form.
2476. 3.2. Distribution of Executable Form

2480. the Executable Form how they can obtain a copy of such Source Code
2481. Form by reasonable means in a timely manner, at a charge no more
2482. than the cost of distribution to the recipient; and
2483. (b) You may distribute such Executable Form under the terms of this
2484. License, or sublicense it under different terms, provided that the
2485. license for the Executable Form does not attempt to limit or alter
2486. the recipients' rights in the Source Code Form under this License.
  2487. 3.3. Distribution of a Larger Work
2488. You may create and distribute a Larger Work under terms of Your choice,
2489. provided that You also comply with the requirements of this License for
2490. the Covered Software. If the Larger Work is a combination of Covered
2491. Software with a work governed by one or more Secondary Licenses, and the
2492. Covered Software is not Incompatible With Secondary Licenses, this
2493. License permits You to additionally distribute such Covered Software
2494. under the terms of such Secondary License(s), so that the recipient of
2495. the Larger Work may, at their option, further distribute the Covered
2496. Software under the terms of either this License or such Secondary
  2497. License(s).
  2498. 3.4. Notices
2499. You may not remove or alter the substance of any license notices
2500. (including copyright notices, patent notices, disclaimers of warranty,
2501. or limitations of liability) contained within the Source Code Form of
2502. the Covered Software, except that You may alter any license notices to
2503. the extent required to remedy known factual inaccuracies.
2504. 3.5. Application of Additional Terms
2505. You may choose to offer, and to charge a fee for, warranty, support,
2506. indemnity or liability obligations to one or more recipients of Covered
2507. Software. However, You may do so only on Your own behalf, and not on
2508. behalf of any Contributor. You must make it absolutely clear that any
2509. such warranty, support, indemnity, or liability obligation is offered by
2510. You alone, and You hereby agree to indemnify every Contributor for any
2511. liability incurred by such Contributor as a result of warranty, support,
2512. indemnity or liability terms You offer. You may include additional
2513. disclaimers of warranty and limitations of liability specific to any
  2514. jurisdiction.
2515. 4. Inability to Comply Due to Statute or Regulation
  2516. ---------------------------------------------------
2517. If it is impossible for You to comply with any of the terms of this
2518. License with respect to some or all of the Covered Software due to
2519. statute, judicial order, or regulation then You must: (a) comply with
2520. the terms of this License to the maximum extent possible; and (b)
2521. describe the limitations and the code they affect. Such description must
2522. be placed in a text file included with all distributions of the Covered
2523. Software under this License. Except to the extent prohibited by statute
2524. or regulation, such description must be sufficiently detailed for a
2525. recipient of ordinary skill to be able to understand it.
  2526. 5. Termination
  2527. --------------
2528. 5.1. The rights granted under this License will terminate automatically
2529. if You fail to comply with any of its terms. However, if You become
2530. compliant, then the rights granted under this License from a particular
2531. Contributor are reinstated (a) provisionally, unless and until such
2532. Contributor explicitly and finally terminates Your grants, and (b) on an
2533. ongoing basis, if such Contributor fails to notify You of the
2534. non-compliance by some reasonable means prior to 60 days after You have
2535. come back into compliance. Moreover, Your grants from a particular
2536. Contributor are reinstated on an ongoing basis if such Contributor
2537. notifies You of the non-compliance by some reasonable means, this is the
2538. first time You have received notice of non-compliance with this License
2539. from such Contributor, and You become compliant prior to 30 days after
2540. Your receipt of the notice.
2541. 5.2. If You initiate litigation against any entity by asserting a patent
2542. infringement claim (excluding declaratory judgment actions,
  2543. counter-claims, and cross-claims) alleging that a Contributor Version
2544. directly or indirectly infringes any patent, then the rights granted to
2545. You by any and all Contributors for the Covered Software under Section
2546. 2.1 of this License shall terminate.
2547. 5.3. In the event of termination under Sections 5.1 or 5.2 above, all
2548. end user license agreements (excluding distributors and resellers) which
2549. have been validly granted by You or Your distributors under this License
2550. prior to termination shall survive termination.

  2591. 8. Litigation
  2592. -------------
2593. Any litigation relating to this License may be brought only in the
2594. courts of a jurisdiction where the defendant maintains its principal
2595. place of business and such litigation shall be governed by laws of that
2596. jurisdiction, without reference to its conflict-of-law provisions.
2597. Nothing in this Section shall prevent a party's ability to bring
  2598. cross-claims or counter-claims.
  2599. 9. Miscellaneous
  2600. ----------------
2601. This License represents the complete agreement concerning the subject
2602. matter hereof. If any provision of this License is held to be
2603. unenforceable, such provision shall be reformed only to the extent
2604. necessary to make it enforceable. Any law or regulation which provides
2605. that the language of a contract shall be construed against the drafter
2606. shall not be used to construe this License against a Contributor.
2607. 10. Versions of the License
  2608. ---------------------------
  2609. 10.1. New Versions
2610. Mozilla Foundation is the license steward. Except as provided in Section
2611. 10.3, no one other than the license steward has the right to modify or
2612. publish new versions of this License. Each version will be given a
  2613. distinguishing version number.
2614. 10.2. Effect of New Versions
2615. You may distribute the Covered Software under the terms of the version
2616. of the License under which You originally received the Covered Software,
2617. or under the terms of any subsequent version published by the license
  2618. steward.
  2619. 10.3. Modified Versions
2620. If you create software not governed by this License, and you want to
2621. create a new license for such software, you may create and use a
2622. modified version of this License if you rename the license and remove
2623. any references to the name of the license steward (except to note that
2624. such modified license differs from this License).
2625. 10.4. Distributing Source Code Form that is Incompatible With Secondary
  2626. Licenses
2627. If You choose to distribute Source Code Form that is Incompatible With
2628. Secondary Licenses under the terms of this version of the License, the
2629. notice described in Exhibit B of this License must be attached.
2630. Exhibit A - Source Code Form License Notice

2635. If it is not possible or desirable to put the notice in a particular
2636. file, then You may include the notice in a location (such as a LICENSE
2637. file in a relevant directory) where a recipient would be likely to look
  2638. for such a notice.
2639. You may add additional accurate notices of copyright ownership.
